Romania's International Recycling Energy invites bids for power plant construction - TED

October 29 (SeeNews) - Romania's International Recycling Energy has invited bids from companies interested in building a cogeneration plant under a contract worth an estimated 59.9 million euro ($77.2 million), a notice in the European Union’s procurement journal indicated on Monday.

The selected company will design, build and put into operation an installation running on refuse-derived fuel at CET Sud Timisoara heating utility, reads the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED).

Timisoara is a city in western Romania.

The value of the 24-month contract excludes value-added tax.

The deadline for placing bids is December 12.

Switzerland's Raroma Service AG owns 49% of International Recycling Energy, the Timisoara city council holds a 31% stake and local company Colterm owns the remainder.
