Romania's Hidroelectrica to offer for sale 1.73 mln MWh of electricity on power market - OPCOM

October 24 (SeeNews) - Romanian insolvent hydropower producer Hidroelectrica will offer for sale 1.73 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity worth some 381 million lei ($107.7 million/83.3 million euro) on the local energy market through November 5, data from power market operator OPCOM indicated.

Hidroelectrica will offer the electricity in 39 lots on October 30 and 31 and on November 1, 2 and 5, data from OPCOM's website showed.

For each lot, the selling price has been set at 220 lei per MWh, value added tax excluded.

State-controlled Hidroelectrica was declared insolvent in June.
