The power producer earned on average 100 lei per MWh more than the price set in the bilateral contracts which the company's administrator cancelled earlier this year, a company statement quoted Remuz Borza, head of Hidroelectrica's administrator EuroInsol, as saying on Tuesday.
The extra revenue will help Hidroelectrica make up for the decline in income which was caused by a drop in output due to a pronged drought this year, he added.
Hidroelectrica sold the electricity in 36 lots at an average price of 229 lei per MWh from July 1 to November 20.
State-controlled Hidroelectrica was declared insolvent in June.
