Romania's Hidroconstructia wins sewage system upgrade contract - TED

October 29 (SeeNews) - Romanian water utility Apavital has awarded a 38.9 million lei ($11 million/8.6 million euro) contract for a sewage system upgrade project to local company Hidroconstructia, a contract award notice in the EU's procurement journal indicated on Monday.

The contract's value excludes value-added tax (VAT).

Under the contract, Hidroconstructia will upgrade the main sewerage collectors in the northeastern city of Iasi, the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) indicated.

The project's value was initially estimated at 52 million lei, excluding VAT.

The project is financed by the European Union under the sectoral operational programme Environment.
