April 1 (SeeNews) - The foreign exchange reserves held by Romania's central bank, excluding gold, totalled 64.279 billion euro ($69.31 billion) at the end of March, compared with 63.128 billion euro a month earlier, the central bank said on Monday.
Foreign exchange inflows amounted to 1.789 billion euro in March, while outflows totalled 638 million euro, the central bank said in a monthly report on Romania’s international reserves.
The gold reserves of the central bank remained steady at 103.6 tonnes, while their value rose to 6.898 billion euro at the end of March from 6.240 billion euro a month earlier due to an increase in global gold prices.
The international reserves of Romania, including foreign currencies and gold, totalled 71.177 billion euro at the end of March, up from 69.368 billion euro in February.
In April, the payments due on Romania's foreign currency-denominated public and publicly guaranteed debt will amount to approximately 2.041 billion euro, the central bank said.
