The end-2023 figure includes 121.162 billion euro in long-term external debt, up 18.6% against the end of 2022, the central bank, BNR, said in a monthly balance of payments report.
Long-term external debt service ratio came in at 17.4% at the end of last year, compared to 17.9% at the end of 2022.
The ratio of the BNR’s foreign exchange reserves to short-term external debt by remaining maturity increased to 97.4% at the end of 2023, from 82.4% at the end of 2022.
