End-October M3 was 26.1% higher than a year earlier, the BNR said in a statement.
In real terms, the October M3 money supply went down 3.2% month-on-month and was 17.4% higher on the year.
At the end of September, Romania's M3 money supply was up by a nominal 2.3% on the month and up by 31.1% year-on-year.
BNR began issuing M3 data in January last year, expanding on the previous M2 figures.
