Romania's Electrica wraps up cap hike

BUCHAREST (Romania), December 20 (SeeNews) - Romanian power supplier and distributor Electrica [BSE:EL] said on Friday that it has completed the procedure of increasing its capital by some 5 million lei ($1.2 million/1 million euro) to 3.464 billion lei.

Electrica issued 502,580 ordinary shares with a nominal value of 10 lei each, and 272 global depository receipts, each of which represents 4 shares, the company said in a bourse filing.

According to data from the capital increase prospectus, the Romanian state has received 295,114 new shares with a nominal value of 10 lei each in exchange for an in-kind contribution - land ownership certificates issued by the economy ministry. 

As at 8:10 CET on Friday, Electrica shares traded at 10.75 lei, unchanged from their previous closing price on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
