Romania's Electrica seeks to buy wind turbines - TED

October 16 (SeeNews) - Romanian state-owned power supplier and distributor Electrica has invited bids for the supply of wind turbines under a contract worth an estimated 74.7 million euro ($97.1 million), value added tax excluded, a notice in the EU's procurement journal indicated on Tuesday.

Under the contract, the selected company will deliver and install turbines at the Frumusita wind park in the southeastern county of Galati, the contract notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) showed.

The supplier will also provide operation and maintenance services for the wind turbines as part of the 258-month deal.

Electrica will finance the investment project from own funds.

The deadline for filing bids is 1000 Bucharest time on November 19. The offers will be opened an hour later.
