April 12 (SeeNews) - Romania recorded a current account deficit of 2.707 billion euro ($2.885 billion) at the end of February, compared with a gap of 2.171 billion euro a year earlier, the central bank said on Friday, citing provisional data.
The deficit in trade of goods narrowed to 4.202 billion euro as at the end of February, while the services surplus contracted to 1.945 billion euro, the central bank, BNR, said in a statement.
Primary income deficit widened to 795 million euro from a shortfall of 279 million euro a year earlier, while secondary income turned to a surplus of 345 million euro at the end of February.
