Romania's c/a gap slightly narrows to 3.95 bln euro in March

May 14 (SeeNews) - Romania recorded a current account deficit of 3.945 billion euro ($4.258 billion) at the end of March, compared with a gap of 3.964 billion euro a year earlier, the central bank said on Tuesday, citing provisional data.

The deficit in trade of goods slightly rose to 6.584 billion euro as at the end of March, while the services surplus contracted to 3.332 billion euro, the central bank, BNR, said in a statement.

Primary income deficit increased to 1.68 billion euro at the end of March from a shortfall of 1.298 billion euro a year earlier, while secondary income surplus rose to 987 million euro from 144 million euro.
