October 14 (SeeNews) - Romania current account balance showed a deficit of 7.080 billion euro ($7.813 billion) in the first eight months of 2019, compared to a gap of 6.104 billion euro in the same period of last year, the central bank said on Monday, citing provisional data.
The deficit on trade in goods widened by 2.081 billion euro, the surplus on services income increased by 357 million euro, the deficit of the primary income balance narrowed by 963 million euro, and the surplus of the secondary income balance decreased by 215 million euro.
Romania's current account balance showed a deficit of 9.416 billion euro in 2018, compared to a gap of 5.970 billion euro a year earlier.
