Romania's Business Sentiment Remains Mostly Negative in Sept

October 2 (SeeNews) - Romanian managers remain mostly pessimistic about the performance of the country’s economy in the three months through November, expecting negative developments in the industrial and construction sectors, the country’s statistics board, INS, said.

Romania's Business Sentiment Remains Mostly Negative in Sept

Managers in the industrial sector expect a moderate decrease in output and a fall in the number of employees through November, whereas prices are seen stable for the period under review, INS said in a statement on its website.

Managers of construction companies expect lower output and a fall in the number of employees, whereas the prices of construction works are expected to stabilise.

Retail sales as well as employment in the sector are seen stabilising , whereas retail prices are expected to register a moderate rise in the three months through November.

Managers in the services sector expect stable demand and prices through November. The number of employees is seen falling.

For its September survey Romania's statistics board interviewed managers of 8,087 companies operating in the four sectors.
