Romania’s BCR Asigurari de Viata VIG posts 34.5 mln lei (7.6 mln euro) 9-mo gross profit

Gross written premiums rose by 5.0% on the year to 275.36 million lei through September, the insurer said in a press release on Monday.

Claims paid by the insurer totalled 21.29 million lei over the period of review.

The company said its market share was 21.35% at end-September. The assets of the insurer rose 32% to 979.43 million lei.

In Romania, Austria's VIG also owns insurance companies Asirom and Omniasig VIG.
