October 23 (SeeNews) - The value of Romanian banks' outstanding loans to the non-government sector grew 4% year-on-year to 277.5 billion lei ($67 billion/57 billion euro) in September, compared to a 3.7% growth in August, the central bank, BNR, said on Friday.
Private lending in lei increased by 7.1% on the year to 190.2 billion lei in September, after growing by 6.3% in August, BNR said in a statement.
Private lending in foreign currency fell 2% on the year to 87.2 billion lei in September, compared to a 1.5% drop in August.
