Romania's bank deposit growth steady in Jan

Leu deposits increased 18.4% on the year in January, reaching 400.8 billion lei, compared to 18.9% annual growth in the previous month, BNR said in a monthly monetary statistics report last week.

Foreign currency deposits decreased 0.7% on the year to 173.8 billion lei in January, compared to a 1.8% drop in December.
