BUCHAREST (Romania), October 14 (SeeNews) – Romania's Banca Transilvania said on Tuesday it is getting a 50 million euro ($74 million) loan from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank's private sector lending arm, to on-lend to private medical services providers in the country.
The loan will support the development of the private healthcare services in Romania and will help keep medical professionals from leaving the country, Banca Transilvania said in a statement.
Banca Transilvania, with majority Romanian private capital, is part of the blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. It operates through a network of 500 branches and agencies and employs over 6,000.
Its shares were trading 2.47% up at 1.66 lei ($0.576/0.3867 euro) by 0901 GMT on Wednesday.
