Romania's Banca Transilvania buys back 820,000 shares

December 24 (SeeNews) - Romania’s Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] said it has bought back 820,000 shares at a total price of 975,530 lei ($290,500/219,800 euro).

The bank bought the shares between December 17 and 21, it said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Friday.

The price varied between 1.1740 lei and 1.1985 lei per share.

The repurchased shares are equivalent to a stake of 0.043% in the bank.

Blue chip Banca Transilvania said in April it planned to repurchase up to 15 million shares at a price of up to 2.0 lei each in an 18-month buyback programme.
