Banca Carpatica will release its final nine-month financial results on November 9.

The bank said in statement its preliminary operating profit stood at 15 million lei through September. Comparative figures were not immediately available.

Last month, Banca Carpatica raised its capital by 26.8 million lei to 228 million lei via a rights issue. The hike aimed to capitalise the bank in order to ensure better resilience to macroeconomic and system shocks and to support its business operations.

The bank expects its net profit to rise eight times to 6.7 million lei this year.

Its stock closed down 5.36% at 0.106 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Thursday. The statement was released after the end of trading hours.

Banca Carpatica (www.carpatica.ro) is headquartered in Sibiu, in central Romania.
