March 2 (SeeNews) - Romania's western city of Arad has opened a tender for the modernization of its tram depot, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Thursday.
The city of Arad intends to use part of the proceeds of a 9.4 million euro ($9.89 milion) loan extended by the EBRD in May 2015 to buy new tram maintenance equipment and for the installation of tram maintenance structures.
The general procurement notice for this project was published in May 2015 and was updated in February this year, the EBRD said in a press release.
Tendering for contracts that are to be financed with the proceeds of the EBRD loan is open to firms from any country.
The closing date of the tender is April 20, 2017.
