Romania's antitrust body clears Abatorul Peris buy of three peers

The Competition Council found no significant concerns regarding the effect of the transaction on competition within the Romanian market, it said in a statement on Monday.

Almado Total Distribution, Cathedral Distribution, and Policalita are currently owned by Romanian entrepreneur Alin-Georgian Zamfira.

In 2022, Abatorul Peris booked a net loss of 17.5 million lei ($3.82 million/3.52 million euro) on a net turnover of 343.8 million lei, according to the most recent data available from the Romania's finance ministry.
