April 8 (SeeNews) - Romanian coffee chain 5 to go aims to open 120 new coffee shops by December 2024, it said on Monday.
In the first quarter of 2024, 5 to go increased its sales by 48% year-on-year, it said in a press release.
Since the beginning of the year, the company has opened 40 new locations in Romania, reaching a total of over 550. The brand is currently present in 120 Romanian cities, with 35 to be added to the expansion map by the end of 2024.
The company is also accelerating its international expansion, preparing to open its first coffee shops in Bulgaria, where it has already signed contracts for two locations.
Moreover, 5 to go is in the process of adding two coffee shops in Hungarian capital Budapest. The coffee chain currently operates four locations across Hungary.
The 5 to go brand was launched in 2015 and claims to be the largest chain of coffee shops in Eastern Europe and the most accessed franchise in its home country, with 280 Romanian entrepreneurs doing business under its name.
