Romania's 11-mo new passenger car sales drop 25% - table

December 17 (SeeNews) - Sales of new passenger cars in Romania fell 24.9% on the year to 66,834 vehicles in the first eleven months of 2012, the Romanian Car Producers and Importers Association, APIA, said on Monday.

Sales of commercial vehicles went down 4.8% year-on-year to 12,919 through November, APIA said in a statement.

NOTE: Dacia is majority-owned by France's Renault but its sales are recorded separately from those of the parent company, which reports only the sales of Renault models imported to Romania.

Sales of new passenger cars in Romania fell 11% to 94,624 in 2011, with Dacia holding the largest market share of 29.9%.
