In November only, new passenger car registrations in Romania decreased by 3.5% on the year, to 11,074 units, ACEA said in a press release.
Romania’s new passenger car registrations in January-November accelerated at the third fastest pace in the EU, surpassed only by Bulgaria’s 17.2% annual increase and Latvia’s 16.4% rise.
Romanian car maker Dacia’s sales in the EU increased by 14.0% year-on-year in the first eleven months of 2022, reaching 393,574 units.
Dacia’s market share edged up by 0.8 percentage points on the year to 4.7% in January-November.
New passenger car registration in the EU, excluding Malta, decreased by an annual 6.1% in the first eleven months of 2022, reaching roughly 8.359 million units.
In 2021, new passenger car registrations in Romania fell by 4.1% on the year, to 121,208.
