Romanian town of Topoloveni invites bids for construction of solar plant - TED

October 16 (SeeNews) - Romania's southern town of Topoloveni has invited bids for the construction of a 3.0 megawatt-peak solar power plant worth an estimated 54.1 million lei ($15.4 million/11.8 million euro), value added tax excluded, a notice in the EU's procurement journal indicated on Tuesday.

Under the 19-month contract, the selected company will supply, install and put into operation 10,714 photovoltaic panels and additional equipment, the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) showed.

The company will also provide service and maintenance works for the power plant over a period of five years.

The bidding deadline is 0900 Bucharest time on November 27. The offers will be opened half an hour later.

The project is co-financed by the EU's European Regional Development Fund, the state budget and the town's local budget.
