The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], climbed 0.20% to 4,809.33 points.
The BET-BK index, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, inched down 0.04% to 982.82 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP], eased 0.06% to 23,243.81 points. The composite BET-C index added 0.23% to 2,643.37 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, gained 0.18% to 9,303.28 points.
BVB's equity turnover slumped to 5.2 million lei ($1.5 million/1.1 million euro), including one block deal worth 760,000 lei, from 19.2 million lei on Tuesday.
Blue-chip bank BRD [BSE:BRD] picked up 0.65% to 7.73 lei in Wednesday's largest turnover worth 807,500 lei in regular trading. On the block deals segment, 100,000 shares of the bank changed hands in one block deal worth 760,000 lei.
Transelectrica [BSE:TEL] was the top gainer among the blue chips, advancing 4.16% to 11.77 lei in deals worth 689,400 lei.
SIF Oltenia [BSE:SIF5] was the top SIF loser, falling 1.08% to 1.369 lei in deals worth 336,600 lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, closed 0.09% higher at 451.28 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, increased 0.90% to 577.14 points.
Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, edged up 0.01% to 1,438.55 points. The RASDAQ turnover dropped to 142,800 lei from 1.3 million lei on Tuesday.
