The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], rose 1.46% to 4,890.93 points.
The BET-BK index, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, closed 1.75% higher at 1,012.69 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea, advanced 2.28% to 23,830.51 points. The composite BET-C index gained 1.14% to 2,671.56 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, closed 1.61% higher at 9,549.00 points.
BVB's equity turnover jumped to 27.5 million lei ($7.8 million/6.0 million euro) from 9.1 million lei on Monday, including three block deals worth a total of 2.9 million lei.
Erste Group Bank rose 2.05% to 87 lei in Tuesday's largest turnover of 8.26 million lei.
Blue chip Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] rose 1.85% to 0.5220 lei in the second-highest turnover of 3.44 million lei.
SIF Transilvania [BSE:SIF3] was the top gainer among the SIFs, advancing 4.17% to 0.5990 lei in a turnover of 2.6 million lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, gained 1.73% to 461.21 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, added 1.32% to 588.80 points.
Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, rose 0.58% to 1,442.14 points. The RASDAQ turnover fell to 531,614 lei from 708,175 lei on Monday.
