The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], advanced 0.84% to 4,790.91 points.
The BET-BK, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, gained 1.07% to 1,000.63 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea, jumped 1.78% to 24,136.77 points.
The composite BET-C index picked up 0.53% to 2,608.19 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, closed 1.44% higher at 9,667.85 points.
BVB's total equity turnover slumped to 35 million lei ($10.1 million/7.8 million euro) from 91.36 million lei on Wednesday. Thirteen 13 block deals generated 8.85 million lei of Thursday's total turnover.
Blue chip Fondul Proprietatea rose 1.32% to 0.537 lei in Thursday's largest turnover worth 11.75 million lei.
Lender BRD [BSE:BRD] was the top blue-chip decliner, falling 1.35% to 7.3 lei in turnover of 2.49 million lei in regular trading, Thursday's fourth-largest. On the block deals segment, a total of 31,040 shares of the bank changed hands in a single block deal worth 262,000 lei.
SIF Transilvania [BSE:SIF3] was the top SIF gainer, advancing 3.15% to 0.6395 lei in 2.5 million lei turnover in regular trading, the day's third-largest. On the block deals segment, a total of 369,500 shares of the fund were traded in a single deal worth 256,600 lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, added 1.11% to 454.90 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities increased 0.68% to 582.76 points.
Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, edged up 0.25% to 1,425.69 points. The RASDAQ turnover surged to 652,200 lei, from 61,477 lei on Wednesday, boosted by a block deal involving 16,355 shares of Romanian producer of electricity supply and control systems El-Co and 408,900 lei.
