The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], eased 0.48% to 4,905.81 points.
The BET-BK index, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, fell 0.39% to 1,013.02 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Proprietatea [BSE:FP], edged down 0.38% to 23,857.39 points.
The composite BET-C index dropped 0.38% to 2,720.76 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, inched down 0.16% to 9,396.18 points.
BVB's equity turnover surged to 52.2 million lei ($14.9 million/11.6 million euro) from 13.4 million lei on Monday, fueled by three block deals worth a combined 44.2 million lei. Trading in bonds totalled 1.9 million lei.
Blue chip Fondul Proprietatea was the most traded stock on Tuesday, ending 0.47% lower at 0.5305 lei in turnover worth 3.0 million lei. On the block deal segment, some 83.3 million shares of the fund traded in three block deals for 44.2 million lei.
Lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] was the top loser among blue chips, shedding 1.5% to 1.12 lei in deals worth 511,700 lei.
SIF Transilvania [BSE:SIF3] paced the decliners among the SIFs, closing 1.31% lower at 0.5645 lei in turnover worth 707,300 lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, fell 0.49% to 461.57 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, lost 0.37% to end at 602.43 points.
Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, picked up 0.33% to close at 1,483.24 points. RASDAQ turnover slumped to 569,300 lei from 18.7 million lei on Monday.
