November 16 (SeeNews) - Romanian stock indices closed mostly in the green on Friday as turnover fell, bourse data indicated.

Romanian stock indices end mostly higher

The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], picked up 0.16% to end at 4,758.75 points.

The BET-BK, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, climbed 0.47% to 986.77 points.

The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea, closed 0.42% higher at 23,363.84 points.

The composite BET-C index appreciated 0.22% to 2,600.98 points.

The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, increased 0.40% to 9,466.74 points.

BVB's total equity turnover fell to 11.1 million lei ($3.1 million/2.5 million euro) from 14.7 million lei on Thursday.

Blue chip Fondul Proprietatea added 0.85% to 0.5345 lei in Friday's highest turnover worth 4.8 million lei.

Lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] fell the most among the blue chips, losing 0.79% to 1.131 lei in deals worth 312,500 lei.

SIF Banat Crisana [BSE:SIF1] was the top SIF gainer, raising 0.90% to 1.12 lei in turnover worth 1.6 million lei.

The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, rose 0.21% to 447.02 points.

The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, eased 0.24% to 581.99 points.

Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, edged up 0.15% to 1,445.99 points. The RASDAQ turnover dropped to 98,400 lei from 304,500 lei on Thursday.
