The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], gained 0.88% to 4,977.47 points. The BET-BK index, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, added 1.33% to 1,030.78 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Proprietatea [BSE:FP], appreciated 1.76% to 24,227.36 points. The composite BET-C index closed 0.45% higher at 2,744.53 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, increased 1.98% to 9,664.18 points.
BVB's equity turnover surged to 59.7 million lei ($17.4 million/13.3 million euro) from 24.8 million lei on Thursday, including seven block deals worth a combined 12.7 million lei.
Blue chip Fondul Proprietatea was the most traded stock on Friday. Its shares picked up 0.56% to 0.535 lei in turnover worth 15.1 million lei in regular trading. On the block deals segment, a total of 11.5 million of Proprietatea's shares were traded in two block deals for 6.2 million lei.
Brokerage SSIF Broker [BSE:BRK] was the top gainer among blue chips, adding 3.04% to 0.122 lei in deals worth 205,000 lei.
SIF Transilvania [BSE:SIF3] paced the gainers among SIFs, closing 3.16% higher at 0.588 lei in 3.9 million lei turnover.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, went up 1.25% to 468.65 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, was the only index to fall, sliding 0.12% to 609.74 points.
Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, declined 0.67% to 1,473.17 points. RASDAQ turnover jumped to 786,300 lei from 116,300 lei on Thursday.
