The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], rose 0.54% to 4,947.59 points.
The BET-BK, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, closed 0.56% higher at 1,028.13 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea, advanced 0.33% to 24,224.58 points. The composite BET-C index gained 0.39% to 2,697.53 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, closed 0.85% higher at 9,672.74 points.
BVB's total equity turnover fell to 21.4 million lei ($6.1 million/4.7 million euro), including five block deals worth 8.7 million lei, from 31 million lei on Wednesday.
Blue chip Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] ended flat at 0.5300 lei in Thursday's highest turnover of 3.7 million lei.
Blue chip OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP] rose 0.46% to 0.4150 lei in the second-largest turnover of 1.7 million lei.
SIF Transilvania [BSE:SIF3] was the most traded SIF, advancing 0.33% to 0.6120 lei in turnover of 1.4 million lei in regular trading. On the block trading segment, 10 million shares of SIF Transilvania changed hands in a single deal worth 7.0 million lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, gained 0.55% to 467.26 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, lost 0.21% to 594.51 points.
Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, ended 0.01% up at 1,437.35 points. The RASDAQ turnover dropped to 99,000 lei from 688,340 lei on Wednesday.
