Romanian share indices gain further ground

December 30 (SeeNews) - The Romanian stock indices rose further on Monday as daily turnover shrank, data from the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, showed.

Romanian share indices gain further ground

The bourse's total equity turnover fell to 19 million lei ($5.9 million/4.2 million euro) from 20.6 million lei on Friday.

Blue-chip investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] fell 0.48% to 0.8335 lei in Monday's largest turnover in regular trading of 3.4 million lei.

Blue-chip lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] gained 1.23% to 1.65 lei in the second-largest turnover of 2.2 million lei.

Blue-chip gas pipeline operator Transgaz [BSE:TGN] edged up 0.14% to 185.25 lei in 2.0 million lei turnover, the day's third-largest.

BET is the blue-chip index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The BET-BK tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs.

BET-C is the composite index of BVB. BET-FI tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea.

BET-NG includes companies from the energy sector and utilities. BET-XT tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse and ROTX tracks Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange.

The Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, closed 0.86% up at 1,366.33 points.

Turnover on RASDAQ fell to 540,562 lei from 703,404 lei on Friday.
