The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], dropped 0.21% to 4,786.19 points.
The BET-BK, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, picked up 0.07% to 1,002.23 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea, added 0.35% to 24,285.04 points.
The composite BET-C index declined 0.32% to 2,598.13 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, closed 0.08% higher at 9,700.44 points.
BVB's total equity turnover dropped to 19.14 million lei ($5.52 million/4.22 million euro), including six block deals worth a combined 6.67 million lei, from 23.32 million lei on Tuesday.
Blue chip Fondul Proprietatea was the most traded stock on Wednesday, advancing 0.65% to 0.541 lei in turnover of 2.61 million lei.
Lender BRD [BSE:BRD] was the top blue chip decliner, sliding 2.12% to 7.14 lei in turnover of 850,600 lei in regular trading. On the block deals segment, a total of 116,000 shares of the bank were traded for 846,800 lei in a single block deal.
SIF Muntenia [BSE:SIF4] was the top SIF gainer. Its shares appreciated 1.17% to 0.732 lei in turnover of 329,400 lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, lost 0.12% to 454.92 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, shed 0.31% to 584.18 points.
Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, fell 0.65% to 1,420.70 points. The RASDAQ turnover surged to 425,600 lei from 139,500 lei on Tuesday.
