Romanian RTC’s Fashion Unit To Enter Moldova by End of '08 – Media

November 6 (SeeNews) - Rafar, the fashion division of Romanian group RTC Holding, will enter the Moldovan market by the end of the year, following a 3.0 million euro ($3.9 million) investment in six shops, Romanian news portal DailyBusiness reported on Thursday.

The first three outlets will be opened in the Moldovan capital Chisinau in the MallDova shopping centre which is due to be launched this month, DailyBusiness quoted Rafar's CEO Ramona Stancilescu as saying.

She added that another three outlets will be opened in a month.

The outlets will operate under the Debenhams, Olsen, Sacoor Brothers, J.Press, Forever 18 and Bijoux Terner brands. The six shops will cover a combined area of 2,500 square metres, DailyBusiness reported.

Rafar expects a 13 million euro turnover this year. The company plans to have 22 outlets by the end of 2008.
