The first store will be opened on Thursday in the northeastern city of Iasi. It has an area of 551.94 square metres (sq m), including a retail area of 343 sq m, the retailer said in a statement.
Profi Rom Food will also open a new store in the northwestern city of Satu Mare on Friday. The store has an area of 600 sq m, including a retail area of 432.61 sq m, it added.
On Sunday, Profi will open its first store in Galati, in the country's southeast. The outlet has a total area of 700 sq m, including a retail area of 336.5 sq m.
Following these openings, Profi will operate 132 stores in 81 locations.
Polish Enterprise Fund VI, a private equity fund managed by Enterprise Investors, acquired 100% of Profi Rom Food in March 2010.
