Romanian IT co Bento 9-mo net profit soars

November 23 (SeeNews) - Romanian software solutions and cloud services provider Bento [BSE:BENTO] said that its net profit more than tripled year-on-year to 12 million lei ($2.65 million/2.43 million euro) in the first nine months of 2023.

Bento's turnover climbed 77% on the year to 27.8 million lei in the January - September period, the company said in a financial report filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

Bento's operating profit rose by an annual 294% in the nine months through September, reaching 14.7 million lei. Total revenue more than doubled to 39 million lei, while total expenses saw a 57% annual increase to 24.2 million lei.

Bento also said it has raised its turnover and net profit projections for 2023 to 41.4 million lei and 12.3 million lei, respectively.

Bento started trading on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange in March last year and currently has a market capitalisation of approximately 146.7 million lei.

The company was founded in 2004 under the name 2B Intelligent Soft. It is active in software development, IT, infrastructure, and cloud services.

Bento's shares traded 2.79% lower at 10.45 lei as of 1205 CET on Thursday on the Bucharest bourse.
