Romanian Investment Fund STK Emergent 9-Mo Net Loss at 2.14 Mln Lei (570,900 euro)

BUCHAREST (Romania), November 14 (SeeNews) – Romanian closed-end investment fund STK Emergent reported on Friday a net loss of 2.14 million lei ($723,900/ 570,900 euro) in the first nine months of 2008.

Comparative figures were not immediately available.

STK Emergent’s total revenue reached 1.76 million lei through September, while total costs totalled 3.89 million lei, the company said in a financial statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.

Shares in STK Emergent started trading on the BVB on September 22, following an initial public offering (IPO) held at the beginning of the year, that aimed to raise up to 50 million lei. The IPO was only 43% subscribed. The fund’s shares traded at 42 lei per share by 0916 GMT on Friday, unchanged from the previous close.
