Romanian Insurer Allianz-Tiriac Sees '09 Gross Premium Income from New Products at 3.0-5.0 Mln Euro

November 24 (SeeNews) - Romanian insurer Allianz-Tiriac Asigurari said on Monday it expects to generate a gross premium income of between three and five million euro ($3.85-$6.4 million) next year from two new products it is launching on the market.

Romanian Insurer Allianz-Tiriac Sees '09 Gross Premium Income from New Products at 3.0-5.0 Mln Euro

The new offerings are the CASCO Navigator insurance and insurance services available through the newly launched allianzdirect.ro website, Marius Onofrei, Communications and Public Relations director at Allianz-Tiriac, told a news conference.

The company is offering for purchase online mandatory car insurance (RCA), damage insurance policies CASCO and travel insurance.

Romania's financial market regulator has said RCA insurance policies will be sold only online from 2010.

($ = 0.7791 euro)
