Rominserv Kazakhstan will provide industrial maintenance, project management and technical and technological development, allowing the extension of Rompetrol’s services in the Caspian Sea region, Rompetrol Group said in a statement.

In November last year Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas acquired 75% of Rompetrol Group from Swiss-registered Rompetrol Holding for an undisclosed sum. KazMunayGas is the state-owned operator for the exploration, mining, refining and transport of oil resources in Kazakhstan. The Rompetrol Group has been present in Kazakhstan since 2003 through its Rompetrol Well Services local arm, which performs special services on drilling oil wells.
