The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], picked up 0.17% to 4,944.50 points.
The BET-BK, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, added 0.29% to 1,017.60 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea, climbed 0.28% to 24,206.19 points. The composite BET-C index increased 0.34% to 2,678.22 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, closed 0.20% higher at 9,708.42 points.
BVB's total equity turnover surged to 9.73 million lei ($2.76 million/2.16 million euro), from 6.7 million lei on Monday, including one block deal worth 768,000 lei. Trading in bonds totalled 8.97 million lei.
Blue chip Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] was the most traded stock on Tuesday, declining 0.33% to 1.191 lei in turnover worth 1.95 million lei.
Lender BRD [BSE:BRD] was the top loser among blue chips, falling 0.65% to 7.7 lei in deals worth 1.04 million lei in regular trading. On the block deals segment, a total of 100,000 BRD shares changed hands in a single block deal worth 768,000 lei.
SIF Transilvania [BSE:SIF3] gained the most among SIFs, advancing 1.47% to 0.6195 lei in deals worth 737,600 lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, grew 0.15% to 465.84 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, appreciated 1.51% to 600.40 points.
Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, rose 0.23% to 1,440.48 points. The RASDAQ turnover jumped to 647,000 lei from 335,100 lei on Monday, including a takeover bid of dairy producer Lactag worth 113,200 lei and a 258,100 lei block deal with shares of local company LCS Imobiliar.
