Romania sells planned 500 mln lei (112 mln euro) in 6-mo T-bills

December 22 (SeeNews) - Romania on Monday sold out its entire offer of 500 million lei ($137.3 million/112 million euro) in Treasury bills due on June 24, 2015, as yields declined, the central bank said.

The average yield was 1.47%, the central bank, which auctions government securities on behalf of the finance ministry, said on its website.

On September 25, Romania sold six-moth T-bills at an average yield of 2.55%.

Bids were placed for 1.82 billion lei worth of government debt paper in the auction.

This was the last auction of government debt paper scheduled for this year.

Romania has sold some 40.6 billion lei and 928.7 million euro in government debt paper on the domestic market this year. It has also raised $2.0 billion in 10-year and 30-year bonds on the U.S. market and 2.75 billion euro in ten-year bonds on international markets.
