Romania sells above target 479.9 mln lei (98 mln euro) of new 2028 T-bonds - table

November 14 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Monday 479.9 million lei ($101 million/98 million euro) worth of new Treasury bonds maturing on October 30 2028, above initial target, central bank data showed.

The average accepted yield was 8.31%, while demand totaled 557.9 million lei, the data indicated.

The issue will be reopened on Tuesday, when the finance ministry hopes to raise 60 million lei in a non-competitive tender.

Romania's finance ministry intends to sell 4.8 billion lei worth of government securities in November, including 585 million lei in non-competitive offers.

So far this year, Romania has sold just roughly 53.5 billion lei and 259.5 million euro worth of bonds and has tapped foreign markets for 2.5 billion euro ($2.63 billion) worth of 2028 and 2034 Eurobonds, as well as $3.85 billion worth of dollar bonds.
