Romania sells 96.5 mln euro of 2031 T-bonds, below target

June 6 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Thursday 480 million lei ($104.9 million/96.5 million euro) worth of fixed-rate government securities maturing on April 28, 2031, below target, central bank data showed.

The average accepted yield rose to 6.75% at Thursday's auction, from 6.69% achieved at the previous auction of Treasury paper of the same issue held in May. Demand for the government securities, which have an annual coupon of 7.35%, climbed to 605.8 million lei from 419.5 million lei at the previous auction.

The issue will be reopened on Monday when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 75 million lei through a non-competitive tender.
