The average yield rose to 6.42% from 6.34% at the last auction of two-year T-notes, held on November 8, the central bank, which sells government securities on behalf of the finance ministry, said in a statement.
Bids were placed for 736.6 million lei worth of T-notes in Monday's auction. The average accepted price was equal to 99.0723% of par.
The T-notes mature on July 28, 2014.
The finance ministry has sold 49.4 billion lei and 763.3 million euro ($975 million) in government securities on the domestic market so far this year.
Romania has also sold $2.25 billion in dollar-denominated bonds on the U.S. market and 2.25 billion euro in euro-denominated bonds on international markets since the beginning of 2012.
