March 18 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Monday 807 million lei ($176.9 million/162.3 million euro) worth of government bonds maturing on April 28, 2031, above target, central bank data showed.
The average accepted yield rose to 6.58%, from 6.42% achieved at the previous auction of government securities of the same issue held in February. Demand for the T-bonds, which have an annual coupon of 7.35%, climbed to 1.042 billion lei from 889 million lei at the previous auction.
The issue will be reopened on Wednesday when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 90 million lei through a non-competitive tender.
