The average accepted yield fell to 6.58% at Thursday's auction, from 6.61% achieved at the previous auction of Treasury paper of the same issue held in April. Demand for the government securities, which have an annual coupon of 8%, fell to 734.3 million lei from 870.5 million lei at the previous auction.
The issue will be reopened on Monday when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 75 million lei through a non-competitive tender.
