The average accepted yield was 6.55% at Thursday's auction, virtually the same as the 6.56% yield achieved at the previous auction of Treasury paper of the same issue held in April. Demand for the government securities, which have an annual coupon of 6.3%, climbed to 751 million lei from 671.8 million lei at the previous auction.
The issue will be reopened on Monday when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 75 million lei through a non-competitive tender.
