The average accepted yield edged up to 6.28% at Monday's auction, from 6.26% achieved at the previous auction of Treasury paper of the same issue held in April. Demand for the government securities, which have an annual coupon of 7.2%, climbed to 674.5 million lei from 575.3 million lei at the previous auction.
The issue will be reopened on Wednesday when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 75 million lei through a non-competitive tender.
