August 17 (SeeNews) - Romania on Monday reported 31 more cases of the A/H1N1 flu last week, bringing to 253 the total number of patients infected with the virus in the country.
All 31 patients are in a good condition, having mild cases of the flu, the Health Ministry said in a statement on its website.
The A/H1N1 virus, popularly known as swine flu, is easily transmitted through coughing or sneezing. The infection, which can be deadly to humans, cannot be contracted through consumption of thermally processed pork meat. Its symptoms are similar to the symptoms of the common flu.
